The spirit comes from a bygone era when Invergordon Distillers ran the show. Murray McDavid with Jim McEwan at the helm took over in 2000. So it's a case of something old and something new. This 2016 fifth release was put together for the fisrt time by McEwan's successor, Mr Adam Hannett and only he knows what went into it. Mr Hannet decalred when taking over from McEwan, "I have to say I took the recipe from Jim’s hand and dutifully ignored it. "

Maltadvocate notes read, "Viscous on the palate, which opens dry, with developing berry fruits and spicy oak, plus dried fruits and candied peel. Long and drying in the finish, with plum and peppery oak. 91 points."
