Blog Post Three: Now I'm getting the hang of this…
A distillery founded in 1965 and as the Malt Whisky Yearbook declares, "is a distillery that insists on doing things their way." As the distillery is made up of a curious mix of traditional pot stills and straight neck pot stills with rectifying columns on them. Plus, the washbacks are all stainless steel.
And then they produce a myriad of spirit styles.
So I can't work out if this Cadenhead bottling is typical or not as the official notes declare it as tasting of, "lemon curd, vanilla custard, lime marmalade along with mint, basil and fennel flavours." They also describe it as, "very refreshing."
All bourbon oak, 450 bottles released.
