It's been out for a few months (2019) and given the reaction by a number of prominent retailers, this special wont last very long.
And that reaction?
One has called it a benchmark and another stating it is the peatiest Aussie malt on the books. But let's get one thing clear, and this is the intriguing bit, the peated malt come from Belgium. Peating levels are around the 45ppm.
And the taste?
I was quite taken by how sweet and and malt rich this whisky is. Lush and long with a good but subtle dose of drying smoky peat. very enjoyable.
