Blog Post Three: Now I'm getting the hang of this…

Another new release for late 2020 to which once again, I did have the privilege of tasting. And boy-oh-boy, was I knocked out by this new release. Big, soft cooked spicy apple flavours along with classic Calvados brandy notes and along with Copper Fox's crisp maltiness and those renowned, yet intriguing oak flavours just linger.
And of course, this malt has all that famed Copper Fox wood treatment: The grain is smoked with applewood and cherry wood to approx 12-18ppm and the spirit was also subjected to applewood and oak chips during maturation in ex bourbon barrels. The resultant whisky is then finished in apple brandy casks.
Official notes read, "Silky body reveals a palate composed of toasted cinnamon stick, sandalwood, dried apples, lemon zest, and barley sugar."
