Blog Post Three: Now I'm getting the hang of this…

Johnnie Walker Swing...what a way to play spin the bottle! But I digress.
This blend was one of the last created by the original JW owner, Alexander Walker (grandson of the John Walker), and was designed for passenger liners in the 1932. The rocking of the ship would not upset the bottle, as it could swing! It started off as a "luxury blend" but today it's mainly an item for the duty free market.
Cardhu is at the heart of this blend plus a load of other malts and grains. Jason and his whisky reviews describes a recent bottling as, "Sweet wild honey smeared on dark toast. Light sherry notes (think dark red fruit) make an appearance before a transition to spiced vanilla and butterscotch."
Nb: Minor cellar scuffed box.
