The story goes that these old and ancient Creations from Cadenheads, were in fact the creation of of Springbank's legendary head distiller, Mr Frank McHardy. The sad thing is that Mr McHardy put the blends together in a cask and then, just let let them mature. But he never told anybody what went into them!
From Tauti on Whiskybase in 2020, "Nose: Mandarins, oranges, almonds, nuts, marzipan. Light and fruity, but with a full body.
Taste: Like the nose: oranges, almonds, marzipan. Soft, oily, creamy, full. Honey and heather, wood. Over time spices.
Finish: Medium to long, spicy, light wood, orange peel, vanilla, honey, heather, caramel. 89 pts."
