Longrow 18yo
700ml 46%

Once again for 2018, allocations are very small and it has totally sold out overseas and overall, it's still a remarkable whisky.

Remarkable for its bright, almost luminescent colour (a very non-reactive American oak cask me thinks), remarkable for its very clean, lean, lemon citrus dominated nose. Shane reckons there’s a hint of earthiness (this will be the peat) in there as well plus a good dose of creamy American oak. On the palate, it’s also remarkable for its initial feistiness but then the door opens up to let you into one seriously long, luxurious palate, where nothing is out of place. Malt, oak, alcohol and citrus fruit flavours are in complete harmony.

I don’t think I’ve seen a Longrow just so pure. In a word: zesty. In another: breathtaking.

Whiskyfun rates it at 92pts with the comment, "extremely high quality. I can’t see why I’d come up with another score."

And just for fun, we also have the following bottlings available as well:

2016: 50% rum 50% sherry casks

2017: 60% sherry 40% bourbon casks

2018: 60% sherry 40% bourbon casks

2019: 75% sherry 25% bourbon
