Founded in 2009 by Belgian whisky writer and Malt Maniac, Mr Bert Bruyneel. With close contact with the Scottish distilling industry, Mr Bruyneel has been able to source a number of interesting and arresting single cask offerings. Every time I get a Macduff in, there is always a rush of enthusiasm to purchase a bottle. Mainly because we never sen the official bottlings, under the name Deveron, in Australia. And even with the Independent bottlers, offerings are few and far between.
Built in 1960, it would appear that a big chunk of their medium bodied, spicy spirit goes into Dewars. To see an IB at 50% was just too tempting. Honeyed, sweet and fruity.
