Blog Post Three: Now I'm getting the hang of this…
This is another distillery I have a fondness for, even though the distillery has gone through so many changes of owners and a closure since it was founded in 1949. My main fondness is for its spirit quality: rich and fruity.
And the distillation date of 1993 is also important to note, as it is the last year of production before the distillery was mothballed until 2003.
From the official notes, this twenty five year old is quite the curiosity as they describe it as tasting of, "Traditional cloudy lemonade, banana loaf, orange sherbet and coffee beans. Finish: Very juicy, with creme brulee, blanched almonds, green apple skins and pears in syrup."
American oak matured, 228 bottles released.
