Blog Post Three: Now I'm getting the hang of this…

Released in 2014 for Ardbeg Day and to coincide with the World Cup being played in Brazil. The name refers to the colour of the Brazilian flag, gold and green. Oak maturation took place in Bourbon barrels that had their ends removed and were replaced with new American oak ones, toasted to Ardbeg's own specification.
From WhiskyWash, "Vanilla cream, hot cinnamon jelly beans, peat smoke, bacon bits, honey butter. A collision of sweet and smoky. Light mouthfeel. Almost exceptionally so. Fairly quick, yet enjoyably intense burn with loads of sweet smoke though the finish. I would have preferred a bit more to it, but overall it fits with the general lightness of the dram".
