Blog Post Three: Now I'm getting the hang of this…

The One Hundred Percent range from Kilchoman is all about from paddock to bottle. From locally grown barley to hands on distilling, everything is done on site. So something very special from one of Islay's smaller and newer distilleries.
Appears to be a five year oold matured in ex American oak bourbon barrels. From WhiskyPages, "This is only lightly peated compared to the distillery’s Machir Bay and Loch Gorm expressions. The nose yields figs, malt, bonfire embers, smoked haddock and brine. Finally, vanilla, wood polish and orchard fruits. Initially, soft fruits on the palate, with smoke emerging and building. Peat smoke in a lengthy, mellow finish".
My name is Graham Wright. You may remember me from the old Baily & Baily days in Adelaide.
