Blog Post Three: Now I'm getting the hang of this…
Founded in 2009 by Belgian whisky writer and Malt Maniac, Mr Bert Bruyneel. With close contact with the Scottish distilling industry, Mr Bruyneel has been able to source a number of interesting and arresting single cask offerings. Many of which have undergone some very specialised cask finishes under Mr B's direction. You can read an interview with Mr B here.
Miltonduff is owned by Chivas Bros and is a big part of the Ballantines blend. Fresh and spicy is the style and with this bottling there's an added layer of sherried, dried fruit flavours..
From Malt.com, "Sweet honey. Cappucino in the background. It is actually quite creamy for such a young whisky. Then oranges. And a long finish again, with a slightly bitter edge. Water makes it fruitier. Grapefruit, more oranges, and a hint of lime 7/10".
