When I think of Madeira oak, I think of dried fruits with a hint of kitchen spice resulting in a sweetly rich palate as well. Marry this with a Highland peated malt, what a treat. Sweet and smoky. Yum. Released in 2015, initial maturation was in American oak and then the dram was finished in Madeira, read European, oak.
Official notes read, "Torrents of campfire peat smoke infused heather honey and ripe pear. Hints of cantaloupe and candied citrus add to luscious, crisp balance."
