Glenrothes is a late starter in the malt whisky stakes, as the first ever malt was first released in 1987! And then the famed Mr Ronnie Cox hit the international hustings and bought the spirit to quite some prominence.
But the decision to go to wine stye vintage dated bottlings did, at time, confuse the public, as no age statement was listed on the label. So this Cadenhead offering returns us to a more traditional style of bottling.
It's young with a grassy, white pepper and autumn berry flavours.
All bourbon oak with 858 bottles released.
