Crisp and crunchy but also rich and sweet…
Aberdeen Distillers Dailuaine 2009 9yo
Aberdeen Distillers are an offshoot of Blackadder indie bottlers. This range presents great value malts at more gentle 46%, unlike the beasts in the Raw Cask range.
But this Dailuaine is an absolute cracker. The malt is both crisp and crunchy but also rich and sweet, and the gentle buttery oak and lively spirit combine to make a full and long palate. So typically Dailuaine. And the finish is long and dare I say slightly oak induced peppery.
Bravo Mr Tucek.
