The gentle Islander: fruity spirit, a modicum of peat, all American oak, expect a creamy vanilla, buttery taste, and with generous serve of sweet malt, a dram that is soft, fruity, gentle and mouthfilling.

From MaltReview, “I love this whisky. It’s so delicate and balanced that it’s a joy to sip. The fact that this malt is presented in such a way, in my opinion, is the standard of which all whiskies should base themselves and display on their core range. 7/10.

Official notes read, “The initial rush of rich vanilla sweetness gives way to a touch of cinnamon which adds a spicy edge to the soft and sweet texture. The classic Arran citrus notes have rounded with age and reveal new depths of character against a background of sweet oak.  At the end: Sweetness, Apple, Citrus, Cinnamon”.
