Description
Aaah! Bowmore. And even better? It’s from the 1990’s. And this is a litre bottle!!
And even more interesting, it comes from the era when the Morrison’s, of now Carn Mor fame, were the owners of this very important distillery.
The malt is made up with approximately 30% of its own malt and as with all Bowmores, the peat is at a quiet 25ppm. Perfumed, fruity and always rather tasty, is my recollection.
From WhiskyBase, “Really pleasant notes of honey, still a bit of citrus and some peat, but tropical fruits also come up. Beautifully rounded flavour. Finish: long, long and mellow. a bit of dry grass?”
NB: Sadly, no canister.
