Bowmore 12yo

Description

For an entry level malt from the famed Bowmore Distillery, this dram is a ripper.  The gentleness of Bowmore is in full view with the peat acting as acomplexing agent rather than the primary flavour, as with other Islay malts.

And it is just so drinkable.

From the WhiskyWash, “The low proof makes for an incredibly smooth and easy-drinking pour. There is a durable leathery-chocolate flavor enhanced by minerality and smoke that doesn’t evolve so much as gently ebb into the finish”.

Official notes rad, “Sip: Warm and delicious on the palate with subtle dark chocolate flavours.  Savour: Trademark gentle peat smoke, leading to a delicious, long and mellow finish”.
