Cadenhead Original Collection Tamnavulin 14yo

Description

Here we have another distillery in Scotland that has a chequered past.  Founded in 1966, closed in 1996 and reopened in 2007.  So, we as malt enthusiasts have probably rarely seen it, let alone tasted it.

The first official bottling only came out in 2016!  The house style has been described as, ginger nut biscuits and orchard fruits.

Cadenhead notes read for this all bourbon cask matured malt, “Sweet and zesty with lots of fruity notes – such as pineapple, grapefruit and banana – through most of the dram but the finish is more mellow and provides a calming, smooth end to the experience”.
