Description
Cadenhead has a fine reputation for bottling international spirits. For us sadly, we hardly ever see them.
So what a surprise to see an old friend from India, pop up as indie bottling. This single malt is a vatting of peated an unpeated malt, the oak is all American and it’s age makes for a lively spirit. I am hazarding a guess that this malt was fully matured in Scotland.
According to Mark Watt at Wm Cadenhead, it tastes of, “Chewy toffee, slight smokiness builds up and oiliness coats the mouth. The finish is orange zest, smoke and then rye notes.”
Cameron at Cadenheads really goes to town on this dram, claiming it to be quite, “superb”.
