Clan Campbell 18yo Legendary Blended Whisky

Description

The Clan Campbell blend used to be owned by Aberlour distillers, so that malt spirit was a big part of this blend.  Today Clan Campbell is owned by Pernod Ricard, who still own Aberlour and along with Glenalachie these are the two malts that still go into the blend.

This older bottling could be from the early to mid 2000’s.

An early review by Dave Broom, Issue 17 of the Whisky Mag, “Palate: Thick and oaky with deep, rich, silky black fruit flavours. Leather, coffee grounds and a little smoke. Dry and slightly woody then a puff of fragrant, heathery smoke. Comment: A big whisky which needs time in the glass to open. 8.0”
