Description
This dram certainly caught my attention, as I haven’t really seen many Glengoynes come out as independent bottlings.
And one of the major reasons I like this distillery is that the spirit is very rich. Which stands to reason, because the distillery was built as a rival to Macallan.
Released in 2019 and matured in American oak with only 337 bottles released
My tasting notes read, “Clean, pretty nose, medium crisp maltiness, gentle butter flavoured oak, with the spirit adding freshness. On the palate, long and narrow, crisp malt, fat spirit, gentle buttery oak with a white chocolate note. And the oak and crisp malt just hangs around. What an absolute charmer!”
A big Ace! from me.
