DS Tayman Linkwood 2008 12yo Flam Wine Barrel Finished

DS Tayman?  Not a bottler I have had any experience with, but what I recently tasted, they appear to be quite a good indie bottler based in the UK.  And I couldn’t pass on another Linkwood.  Looks like this company was only recently founded in 2020.

But there are some interesting things going on with this particular bottling.  Namely, that it is a standard Linwood bourbon cask offering, think creamy grassiness,  that has been further matured in an Israeli winery, Flam (Jerusalem foothills), cask.  And it has been certified as Kosher.

My rough notes read, “The malts colour makes it look like a Southern European rose wine, on the nose: it’s fruity, good malt presence and lightly oaked.  On the palate: Medium length, full bodied, grassy spirit, crsip malt, a hint of kitchen spice and oak tannin grip”.

Official notes read, “Palate: A soft gentle sweetness, with creamy vanilla, sherbet and hints of sweet red berries.
Finish: A pinch of black pepper on strawberries, a silky mouth feel and a long spicy finish”.
