Another rather tasty offering from Angela and Gareth at Fleurieu Distillery.  Lush and fruity sweet, great malt quality and that Goolwa sea air is certainly evident in this delightful dram.

As the Andrews rightly point out, dram, the cask used for maturation were what we used to call white port.  A soft, easy drinking fortified wine style, which is hardly seen these days.

In their words, “Honey on toast, brown sugar, dried fruit spice, candied orange peel.  Long, hints of glace ginger, and quince paste, followed by sea salt roasted chestnuts, luscious and lingering”.
