Glendronach 12yo

Description

Glendronach, one of the few remaining distillers to offer a full sherried matured spirit as their entry level malt.  And I suspect, that is why Aussie malt lovers just love it.

From Connosr, “Sweet, with a little alcohol nip on entry. You can taste the sherry influence, a little pepper on the development. Water tones down the sweetness a little, makes the development a bit dryer. Peppery, moderately astringent, sweet, fairly long”.

Official notes reads, “Rich, creamy, silky-smooth. Warm, rich oak and sherry sweetness, full mouth feel, raisins and soft fruits. Spicy with medium length and a dry finish. Long, full and firm, slightly nutty”.
