A mid 2000’s bottling of one the great malts of Scotland: Clynelish.  All American oak matured, crisp spirit, oak held in check and then that superb background peat arrives, just adding a beaut layer of complexity.

From a well know retailer, ” The palate is crisp with superb clarity. Notes of cereal and sugared barley acquiesce with the dark, supple peat and toffee. The finish is of medium-length with gentle oak tannins and soft smoke as a honeyed fullness develops”.
