I asked Tim about his feelings of his new (Feb 2015) monster and his reply was instant, “it changes, changes, changes. And you never see the 72% alcohol.”
This is just so typical of the Heartwood malts. Bucket loads of intrigue, massive amounts of alcohol and sheds loads of appeal. And just look at the age statement: it’s a 14yo.
Who says Aussie whiskies can’t age? Oh, and by the way, creamily pristine malt is perfectly balanced with the sweet and fruity oak and the huge alcohol.
