Holyrood Charmed Circle 2020 Strong Waters Golden Promise Spirit Drink

From that relatively new distillery in Edinburgh, comes this brand new spirit that is part of a research project into re-introducing old barley varieties and flavours back into  modern distilling.

The project is been undertaken by research staff at Herriot Watt University but backed by Holyrood distillery.

In this edition, that old favourite of distillers 60 or so years ago, Golden Promise, has been bought back to life as a sub two year old spirit.

Official notes read, “As a new make, Golden Promise presents a sparkling minerality. Blended with wheat spirit it becomes highly aromatic with elegant notes of citrus and pepper.”
