It has been quite surprising how fast over the last couple of years, some of our all time favourite distilleries have dropped off the independent bottlers lists. You could almost say that almost all the A and B listers have disappeared.
So, what a joy to one of those A listers, Mortlach being bottled by Hunter Laing. Mortlach for me has been a rich and flavoursome style that employs that odd technique of partial triple distillation.
