Ingelred Ben Nevis 2008 14yo

Description

Another Nevis that Swedish retailer Ingelred have added to their extensive Ben Nevis range in 2022.

A mid aged dram but at a high ABV, 62.2%, all ex Boubon oak matured.  And it just works.

My notes read, “Beautifully retained creamy oak nose with sweet maltiness.  On the palate, bright spirit, and once again like it’s younger sibling the creamy oak combines so well with the sweet malt, long and lingering”.

Official notes read, “Haribo bananas and candied sugar topped with vanilla and a hint of peat smoke. Sweet and dry taste, chocolate with a high cocoa content. Long and slightly peppery finish”.
