Description
When Kavalan whiskies arrived o our shores around 2010, it certainly created quite some excitement. How could they get so much, full bodied sherry flavours into a very young single malt? And it tasted so good!
I suspect it was to do with Taiwan’s climate and maybe the use of techniques people like Tim Duckett use with his famed Heartwood range.
This Soloist was bottled in 2014 and is a 7 year old. But you would never notice that it is so young.
Winner: San Francisco Gold 2013 and Double Gold in 2012.
