Kilchoman Vintage 2007 6yo

Description

This peated Kilchoman is the second release of this “vintage” dated range.   By vintage the distillery means the year of distillation, not the year the barley was harvested.

All ex Bourbon cask matured, 50ppm of peat and at a mild 46%.

From WhiskyPages, “Very sweet peat on the initial nose, then brine and kippers. Freshly-stubbed cigarettes, warm, gingery leather and vanilla. Full-bodied on the palate, nutty, with citrus fruits, black pepper and spicy peat. Long and fruity in the finish, with plain chocolate and lingering spice”.
