Description
The brand new distillery for the Isle of Arran. And hot on the heels of Batch 1, all American oak matured, comes this Oloroso oak finished (6 months) Batch 2.
And once again the malt is Concerto and the 500ppm peat comes from the SE of Scotland.
From DramDrinker, “Punchy, spicy, pepper, cinnamon, cloves, hint of acacia honey, subtle sweetness, woody, toffee, chocolate, hint of tobacco and leather. Medium long, warm, more woody, more spices, vinous, little more leather.”
Importers note read, “Earthy vegetal peat smoke bursts on the scene, summer fruits, creamy fudge, oily with dried dark fruits and subtle well integrated cinnamon spice. Long with more bonfire smoke, balanced oak, salted caramel, baking spices and dark toffee”.
