This classic Macallan 15yo arrived at the shop I was working at in the early 2000’s. And I remembered thinking, why release a 15yo old when there was plenty of 12 and 18yo around? But they could and they did. And at the time it was a sensation.
This is also era, where all Macallan’s were aged in Spanish oak that once held Oloroso sherry.
