And what a combo it is, but I’ll let the Mr Harvey explain the maturation process, “Jock selected six French Oak Shiraz barrels from Geoff, a fifth-generation descendent of one of Australia’s most famous wine families, the Hardy’s, to age this Single Malt Whisky, which was then finished in fortified Muscat barrels.

A single malt whisky of deep golden honey colour, with aromas of stone fruit and dried pear moving towards fine French oak and toffee. The palate offers sweet malt and butterscotch with a long lingering finish of integrated oak and a viscous mouthfeel”.

But let’s be clear, those French Oak shiraz casks last use was to mature muscat (fortified wine) I presume from Geoff Hardy.
