Morrison Carn Mor Dailuaine 2013 8yo Red Wine Finish

I have in the past always extolled the virtues of Dailuaine spirit: rich, fulsome a malt with weight.  And then I tasted this one from Morrisons…

Let’s sniff it first: Good clean, crisp malt, red wine? But some perfumed dried fruits.
OK.  Not let’s put it in the mouth: So bright, lively, mid palate punch, with medium to light texture, there’s that dried dried fruitiness again, but it is oh so subtle.  Finished dry, with a hint hint of white pepper, but crisp and dry.

How intriguing!  Crisp and dry.
