Overeem Distillery Port Cask OD-416 Tasmania Single Malt

Description

Part of the core range of malts from the Overeem Distillery in Tasmania, this well-mannered 43% malt has been matured in French oak quarter casks that once contained Aussie port.  And this is seen as the hallmark style of Overeem whiskies.

And from the following tasting malts, this really looks like a desert malt.

From a well respected colleague in Hobart, “Soft, delicate, viscous with salted caramel, toasted marshmallows, butterscotch, toffee and sweet malt. Long, sweet, addictive with hints of sweet pudding”.
