Penderyn Legend Welsh Single Malt Whisky

When you see these types of malts come out of a distillery, you just know that the distillery has finally come of age.  And with the Welsh Penderyn, production has also grown.

Legend uses the same successful oak formula that has come to define Penderyn…ex bourbon oak with a dash of Madeira oak at the end.

From Whisky Analysis, “I will admit, I wasn’t expecting much whIncredibly smooth and both fresh and rich dried fruits abound. Delicate and sweet on the palate with just a hint of bitterness to remain refreshing.en I picked up this bottle – and it does have a lot of rough edges (especially on the nose). But it has a longer finish than I expected, and is an interesting balance of sweet and sour. It could make a decent summer evening whisky”.
