So, what is Moscatel? It’s a fortified wine made with the very fruity muscat grape.  The most famous and sought after examples come from Setubal in Portugal.

Official notes read, “Smooth vanilla with raisins, sweet baked apples and some oak flavours; notes of lime and grapefruit.  A warming finish with grapes, orange peel and oak”.
