Samaroli Islay Caol Ila 2022

Description

I would never have described Caol Ila as arrogant, I would leave that other Islay producers.  But this Italian based indie bottler has clearly created something a little different with this bottling of a very old favourite.

Especially considering the official tasting notes, “shy hints of yeast, butter and smoked meats reminiscent of our hearth after last night’s fire is spent. And now almond, hazelnut and candied fruit”.
