Samaroli Macduff 1997 24yo 2022 Bottling

Description

An ancient Macduff, now there’s a turn up for the books, considering the distillery only opened in 1960.

From a very well known retailer, “Sweet malt and caramelised apricot and some nectarine juice keep thyme and a prickle of nutmeg in check.  Long and subtly spicy, there’s a touch of menthol in the backdrop”.

The official notes indicate that you really need to sip this with some free flowing New Orleans jazz playing in the near background.  Samaroli also suggest fruits and floral notes and somewhat surprisingly, smoky and opulent on the palate.
