Description
The distillate mainly comes from the from the 2000 production run and then the casks were topped up with 1997 and 1998 distillate. So in classical whisky parlance, this is a vatted malt. Or in modern times, a blended malt whisky.
But take a look at those dates, as 1997 was possibly the first or second run which Mr Wall and Mr Zimmerman did on the old 1930’s Yalumba brandy still.
Early days indeed.
I’m presuming it’s all French oak matured.
From WhiskyADay, “Salted caramel, rich fruits; chewy, oily mouthfeel. Like biting into a moist Christmas cake. Spicy vanilla flavours with a long fade and a slightly drying finish. A warm tingle as the alcohol subsides”.
560 bottles released.
