The UDV/Diageo Flora & Fauna range, another creation from that wunderkind, Mr Mike Collings. This series was to be a showcase of the “other distilleries” that UDV, now Diageo, that were not included in the Classic Six.

And once again, it came out of the early 1990’s, an era where single malts were still out of fashion.

Tanininch 10yo: First released in 1992, this later bottling from this massive Highlands distillery, has been described as medium body style, smooth and slightly oily.

From the WhiskyPhiles, “Smooth and viscous, sweet honey, oranges, vanilla, butter, orange zest /citric sharpness.  Buttery honey finish of medium length with delicate flavours, slight orange pith bitterness towards the end”.
