It’s not very often that we see an indie bottling of Bowmore, in these modern times.  Especially after a Bowmore exec a number of years ago chewed my ears out as railed against the vileness of independent bottlers.   And went onto declare that “you” will never see Bowmore being bottled by such outsiders.

Oh dear.

So from Atom Brands, think Master Of Malt, comes this privately bottled…Bowmore.  And check out its age and all bourbon oak matured

From WhiskyBase, “Oily, creamy, very citrusy, lemony, honey, good sweetness, yellow fruits, pepper, little ginger, iodine, coastal peat and smoke – very good!
Finish: Medium long, warm, citrusy, lemony, peaty, smoky, spicy, hints of grapefruit”.

Official notes read, “Vanilla pods, more citrus peels, seaweed and a hint of fresh florals.  Finish: Dark roast coffee, brown sugar and sea salt”.
