Glen Elgin, can be best described as being a medium bodied, medium sweet style and noted for it’s honey and malt flavours.  So, to see that spirit sweetness further enhanced by being finished in a Sauternes cask and then served at cask strength, certainly caught my eye.

And Sauternes being that most famous sweet white from Bordeaux in France.

From a Euro retailer, “Honeyed fruits with vanilla, more soft sweet malt, apricots and gentle spices with a good depth of flavour, lengthy with spiced oak”.
