Description
“You can take a White Horse anywhere”.
A very famous and important bottler that sparks quite a bit of interest for malt drinks by being the owners of the Lagavulin distillery.
And Craigellachie and Glen Elgin and Port Dundas and for a short time, Hazelburn in Campbeltown.
This version, called the “newspaper label” flask, probably comes from the late 1960’s to early 1970’s and of importance, it was bottled in Australia and it has the miniature horse attached!
From WhiskyBase of a similar bottling, “Slightly thin and yet slightly oily, fine peat, slightly sooty and ashen, a lot of very fine salt, a little green apple and coastal fog (in two respects, ie mist on the coast and the aniseed liqueur), mild and slightly bitter”.
NB: Condition of bottle and packaging.
