Willett Family Estate is the flagship brand coming out of the Willett Distillery (aka Kentucky Bourbon Distillers).

Of interest is the fact that between 1981 and 2012, they family owned company ran as a large independent bottler.  Why make your own, when there was heaps of stock in the market place that nobody wanted!

The in 2012, Bourbon was becoming more popular, so supplies were drying up.  The family went back into distilling.

The other curious fact, that the Willett’s were the first to offer private barrels for sale.  A company policy that is still running today.

Official notes read, “One of the lushest and rich Whiskey on the market. The nose is walnuts, prunes, and floral notes. The palate mimics the nose with walnuts, prunes, and spices, intertwined with lavender and balanced with the perfect amount of acid, that leads you down a path of lingering burnt caramel”.
