Willett Rowans Creek Small Batch Boutique Kentucky Straight Bourbon

Description

This big alcohol Bourbon hails from the Willett Distillery based in Bardstown, Kentucky and is seen as one of their high end products.

Named after the creek that is on the property, and the Small Batch denotes that every bottling uses only a  small number of mature barrels in the mix.  And these barrels can be aged anywhere from five to fifteen years.

It’s believed that up to 25% of the grain bill is rye.

From WhiskyReviwer, “you’ll find a velvety bourbon which has the caramel sweetness you’d expect after 12 years in the barrel. There’s also a touch of pepper in there, and oak. The finish is long and starts sharp before mellowing and extending to a dry, spicy and woody finish with a bit of lemon which stays with you between sips”.
