Woodwater 4yo Chardonnay Cask Release 2 South Australia Malt Whisky

I have to admire Mr Justin Mok, after the travails in trying to build a distillery, he couldn’t wait any longer.  So he hired a still and proceeded to make some whisky.

Well done sir.

A severe case of GOYA as I have ever seen.

And this chardonnay cask matured malt is a gem.  Restrained, precise, and what Mr Mok describes as buttery spirit. The chardonnay cask, possibly from Geoff Hardy, doesn’t dominate, but there is  layer of grape fruitiness that complements the spirit.  Full and round and once again great texture, good integration for a 4yo whisky.
